Zoo Trip

The Zoo field trip was amazing!  The children had such a wonderful time.  We lucked out and had beautiful sunny weather too.  We finally got to see the elephants, and learned about Willy, a male African Elephant with only 1 tusk.  He lost his other tusk when he was about 6 years old and it never grew back.  He weighs about 12,000 pounds!  A big thank you to all the parent volunteers too, you made our day run smoothly.  Have a fantastic weekend!
