Bees and Flowers

The students learned how bees help flowers grow and make new flowers.  We used large paper flowers (created by Mrs. Ferlito), Velcro strips for bees, and yellow felt for pollen.  The students acted out how the wind blows the yellow pollen onto flowers, other plants, and the ground.  Then students got to be the "velcro bees" and buzz into the flowers and spread around the pollen.  The students had a blast with this activity and are hoping to try it again soon.
